In what order do I watch and listen to my session?
For the Weight Loss and Stop Smoking sessions you watch the Video first, the Hypnotherapy second and the bonus sleep audio each evening.
For Reduce Anxiety please watch the video followed by the audio hypnotherapy session.
All other sessions are Audio only.
Download time required?
This depends on your internet speed. The audio sessions usually download fast however the weight loss, stop smoking and reduce anxiety may take between 2 – 5 min as they include video and audio content.
What happens if I can't find my downloaded VH session?
Please look in your download files, your email or your junk email. It will be in at least one of these areas. The sessions download to your device, if unable to locate, please contact your device provider for assistance. You can use your email download link up to 5 times. Apple devices store the download in iTunes.
What is Hypnotherapy and how does Hypnotherapy work?
Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed state of heightened awareness during which an individual has an increased receptivity to suggestions.
The conscious mind is bypassed allowing positive changes to be made at a subconscious level, where our beliefs and habits are embedded.
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes enabling you to find the alternatives you desire. It is a safe therapy and you remain conscious, alert and fully in control while being comfortable and deeply relaxed; meaning you are receptive and open to positive suggestion.
Hypnotherapy is a very natural, normal and safe state.
If I download a session do I need or receive a download card?
Download cards are only for in store purchases. If you are downloading your session online you do not require a card.
What happens if my device stops or runs out of battery during the session?
If you are watching the Video or listening to your hypnotherapy audio session and for some reason your tablet or phone shuts down or runs out of battery charge, all you need to do is go back to your email link sent to you and click on it again to restart the section your device stopped at.
If you are using your iPhone or iPad. To prevent it from going to sleep, update the Auto-lock setting. To do this, go to your Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. Set Auto-Lock to “Never“. This will keep your screen awake, but still respect your screen dimming settings.
Androids do not normally sleep while playing

Does Hypnotherapy really work?

Is Hypnotherapy Mind Control?
No, when you are in hypnosis you have complete control of your actions, thoughts and feelings. All hypnotherapy is a form of self-hypnosis, the therapist formulates suggestions, the patient absorbs these suggestions in their own way, and therefore all success belongs to you, not the hypnotherapist. The hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything; it is up to the patient to use the suggestions for the outcome they want.
A person will never release secrets while in trance, so if you are thinking of hypnotising your partner and getting them to tell you their secrets – forget it!
So what does being in hypnosis feel like?
Although your eyes are closed, your awareness and concentration heightens. Reports of deep relaxation are universal and accompanied by a feeling of comfortable relaxation of both mind and body. It is a beautiful relaxed feeling where you stop, relax and your mind slows and wonders. It is a feeling so many people have not experienced in their busy life.
Can Anyone be Hypnotised?
Yes, if you can sleep, you can experience hypnotherapy suggestions.
Generally there are 3 categories of people. Up to 10% of people have a fantastic ability or talent for hypnosis and go into a very deep hypnotic state quickly and easily. It is almost the same percentage at the other end of the scale meaning some experience a lighter hypnotic state.
For the majority of people they fall somewhere in between. Outcome is not based on the depth of your hypnosis. You can just as easily get what you need from a light state of deep trance or a deep state of light trance. Smarter people often report they have fast results as their mind is more receptive to positive suggestion, and the subconscious always wants what is best for us.
How does it work as a Virtual Session compared to coming into the room with you?
While this is a new concept for many it has been working successfully for people all over the world for some time. Many high profile people have used the session instead of coming into a therapist room. It is virtually the same. The session Dr Karen conducts is a set formula that has taken her years to develop. It works regardless if you are in the room with Dr Karen or doing it in the Virtual room with Karen. Results are the same.
How successful is the weight loss session done this way?
There is no diet, no measuring, no guilt, no special shopping. You relax, have the session and automatically select better, healthier food choices. You simply eat less and move more. Your desire once experienced for sweets or deserts is dissolved. You do not need to cook special meals or buy diet foods. You simply choose better and eat less, it really is that easy. You get your control back, food no longer is on your mind every hour of the day and food no longer controls you.
Will I be asleep or unconscious?
Not usually, however sometimes people do relax so deeply they go into a sleep type state. If you do drift into a sleep state, that is OK, you are speaking to the subconscious mind. It is the conscious mind that is sleeping, the subconscious never sleeps.
Have you have that experience in the middle of the night when sound asleep your eyes open and you need to use the bathroom, this is the subconscious mind looking after you, it remains alert at all times, even during conscious sleep. You will continue to absorb all suggestions regardless if sleep resting or not. You will remain fully in control of your mind and body for the duration of the session.
Is Hypnosis medically approved?
Absolutely!!! Hypnosis and hypnotherapy have been approved by the American Medical Association since 1958. Medical Hypnosis is increasingly recognised as a powerful healing modality with applications in all fields of medicine.
Medical hypnotherapy enables patients to reduce bleeding, swelling and allow overall recovery time to be significantly decreased. Hypnotherapy is also used as an outlet to successfully manage pain. Many dentists in America have a resident Hypnotherapists to assist clients relax, remove the fear and recover faster from procedures. Many doctors, dentists and psychologists refer patients to Clinical Hypnotherapists.
How long does a session take?
The stop smoking and weight loss sessions have a 30 minute psychotherapy Video session, this is flowed by a 45 minute hypnotherapy session. You also receive a bonus audio session to listen to each evening for a couple of weeks to further embed all suggestions as you sleep to ensure success. You do not necessarily have to do the Hypnotherapy session immediately after the video session however this is preferred but not necessary. If you are time poor you can split the sessions if necessary. The other therapies audio sessions vary in time from about 30 minutes to 45 minutes, the recorded time is displayed for you on each session.
The Other Therapies – how do they work?
The other therapies are the most common sessions people require.
Anxiety, removing that excess baggage so many of us carry around, and dissolving that bad habit we no longer want, is easy. Just press play,sit back, relax and listen, allow the hypnotherapy session to heal and adjust the subconscious mind.
The phobias, stop nail biting, public speaking phobia, plus other sessions, remove these issues quickly to enable you to get on with your life without that fear. You can fly, have a needle, go to the dentist and stand at a great height or speak in front of an audience without overwhelming fear obstructing you.
You can achieve your desired outcome from listening once however some people prefer to listen to the session multiple times. You have the session forever, it remains your to keep.
What is a Clinical Hypnotherapist?
A psychotherapist who is trained in using Hypnosis. A Psychotherapist has broader knowledge and usually studied Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). This is then utilised within the session to ensure all suggestions are absorbed and success is accentuated.

I also place a suggestion into the session that you will eat healthier smaller meals for the healthier you. You may even find you lose some weight to fit in with your new healthier body.
How successful is the stop smoking session done this way?
If you truly with to quit smoking you can. Regardless if the session is done in a room with a person present or a person on video speaking, results are the same. The hypnotherapy session and psychotherapy video session is the exact same one as used by Dr Karen in her rooms. Reported results match. Doing it virtually enables you to do the session when you want and keep it forever.
How do I use No More Lonely Dog for my Furr Baby?
No More Lonely Dog is a specifically designed track to soothe and relax your fur baby when they are alone. We suggest you play the track whilst at home comforting and patting your dog so they develop a sense of comfort and security. Walk around the home playing the track for a few days. When going out, place the music on loop so your fur baby can listen quietly feeling secure and knowing you will return.
